No bass

It's small and light weight. Easy to setup, much less clutter than my old 5.1 system. But the subwoofer is a joke. I have it turned up to the max, and it has almost no bump at all. And there doesn't appear to be an upgrade option for it. So I'll likely be returning this for a proper 5.1 channel receiver system with an actual subwoofer output. Sometimes, old school is just plain better. I guess I should have looked into sub uprade options before I bought it.

Decent sounds
Always been a fan of Samsung products, with this product I can add the surround speakers for the rear if I want.

We haven’t been super impressed with soundbars including those by Samsung. This system exceeded or expectations. Sound separation is excellent for a two channel set up. There is plenty low and midrange sound and the bass was much better than we had hoped. To be honest it put a smile on our faces. We purchased this because we needed something that wasn’t too tall as it would block the remote receiver.

I hope this was helpful.
If you are looking to greatly improve the sound of the onboard television speakers and need something compact and reasonably priced you may want to try these out.

The Samsung HW-B550/ZA 2.1ch Soundbar works great for the price! While you don’t get as many features as the more expensive models, the sound quality is still awesome. The Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual
really enhance the listening experience, making movies and music sound more immersive. The subwoofer adds a nice bass punch, which is impressive for a soundbar at this price point.

What I love most is how seamlessly it works with my Samsung TV and other Samsung products. Everything connects easily and functions smoothly, which is a big plus since I own a lot of Samsung gear. If you're looking for solid sound performance without breaking the bank, this soundbar is a great option. Sure, it lacks some advanced features, but for the cost, it’s hard to beat.

Satisfactory product. Really high definition audio. My only complaint is that it's only 2 speakers on the entire sound bar (I looked with a flashlight through the webbing). This leads to what seems that it's not moving lots of air. The subwoofer compliments it enough to make it less of an issue. I'm glad the bar came with optical connectivity. Nowhere in the specs does it mention that. Also, it comes with mounting brackets but not the wall anchors.

Use the optical connection if possible

This is a good quality product but if you can, use the optical connection not the HDMI ARC connection. You will get better sound & video. Using the HDMI connection I had to go into my TV settings and change the Dynamic range to "HIGH" because the video was really washed out! Looks ok now but running the signal through the HDMI ports really changed things.

Also, if you are using several streaming services like YouTube TV you will also have change the audio settings from 5.1 Surround sound to Normal (In YouTube TV) or something else because it will really sound BAD! You will also need to drop the Equalization about -2 to -4 on the soundbar's 300Hz & 600Hz range to get rid of the "canny" sound.

After experimenting and doing all these things above for about a week, it's sounding pretty good now using the HDMI ports.

The description says it has built in ALEXA. It does not. The remote is awful. It has many functions for each button. It's really difficult to adjust the volume without muting it. Sound quality is much better than my previous soundbar.

Worse, this product was not advertised as a renewed item. I was surprised when i received it and the box say "RENEWED."I am still contemplating returning it.

I use this system with a Samsung TV and Firestick. There might as well be no documentation with it, as what is included does not address all the issues I encountered in interfacing it with the Firestick remote. I have been using it for almost a year and still have not learned how to adjust some of the surround features. I have to manually adjust Tone Control (bass & treble), and sound level is not displayed on the TV. There is also problems in adjusting sound level; a low level will change to a very high level with only 2 or 3 clicks of the Fire Stick. It is a satisfactory way to get 2.1 surround but for some more bucks you can do much better.

hook up is easy

In ten minutes, I had this out of the box and hooked up. Not sure what the deal is but the volume I turn up to 5-6 for digital aerial that is too loud for You Tube which I turn down to 3 then the sub-woofer is inaudible. It is a smart TV a TCL Q-LED and it might matter. Powered sub-woofers have a threshold volume before they kick in/turn on. My concern is fidelity not noise. Finally got the sub-woofer to work better, the problem could be translation from Chinese to English or why bother since 80% of America like trump cannot read .Now I could understand the mathematics that engineered this product they are universal Viewed a video on You Tube the subwoofer is not a button but a lever to push up and down. so up to 6 and it works much better how simple yet when I ask the question no one knows the answer.
