    Disappointing Sound Quality, Finnicky Optical Connection

    This isn't a real expensive sound bar, so I probably should've come in with lower expectations, but the sound quality wasn't even better than the built-in speakers my 10+ year old plasma TV had. I played around with the different audio configurations on both the speakers and TV, and ultimately decided that it I couldn't really get it to sound any better, just "different" (worse in some ways, better in others).

    It also seemed to have some issues with optical audio (which is the only way I could connect it, since my TV didn't have an ARC HDMI connection). For certain shows the audio would spontaneously cut out for a few seconds, which got really annoying. There aren't really any configuration options for the optical audio on my TV or the sound bar, so there wasn't a lot I could do.

    I tested unit and it works fine. It was advertised sold by Amazon "Like New" condition. It has a huge dent/impression over the metal speaker grill on one end. If I would have paid almost $40 more new, it would have been an issue. No ones really going to see it and it works great; it's a Sony.

    Sony soundbar!! It’s gonna be great as compared to all the non name brand ones available here on Amazon right? Unfortunately not so much. It’s a good, clear , slightly “tinny “ sounding soundbar. It’s hooked up to my bedroom TV . I’m glad I didn’t buy it to hookup to my main TV. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a decent soundbar, and it is probably better than 70% of the non name brand soundbars here on Amazon but it’s not awe inspiring and it has a few features that chap my butt and almost made me return it. It has three led lights across the middle of it. They OFTEN (7 out of ten) don’t turn off when I turn the TV off. It usually takes two or three attempts to turn the TV on and off to get them to turn off completely. The volume goes up in increments of two rather than increments of single digits. Alright Mr. Smartguy, I know that it doesn’t matter what the number is and if zero is zero and the first time you press up to increase the volume the number is two rather than one who cares. While I agree with that way of thinking… it still just kinda ticks me off. Anyway… that’s my two cents.

    Good Sound but Major Design Flaw!

    For a 2.0 all in one soundbar the quality and clarity of the sound was great. Super easy setup. I just wanted something inexpensive to be better than the TV speakers. I didn't need nor want a full-on audio system with seperate subwoofer. This was perfect for that. But, for me a major design flaw. The location of the HDMI hookup was fine. However, the power cord was on the complete opposite side of the bar. A better design would have been the power cord being in the same area as the HDMI & optical ports. This helps keep all the cords neat and tidy and going in the same direction. All my cords (TV, BluRay, cable box, previous soundbar), connect to my surge protector power strip on the left side of the TV. I would of needed an extension cord for this soundbar to go all the way across to the other side. For that reason I had to return it and consider that a design flaw. I do not want more cords than absolutely necessary. Before you purchase this know where your connections will be if that matters to you.
